They also reviewed ongoing projects in civil nuclear cooperation and ways to improve connectivity through railways and industrial partnerships.
Modi highlighted the need to address the spillover effects of the Ukraine conflict, especially on Indian seafarers facing risks in the Black Sea region. The leaders exchanged views on the situation in West Asia and its impact on global supply chains. Ensuring steady supplies of energy and fertilizers emerged as a top priority during the talks.
Putin invited Modi to the next India-Russia Annual Summit, an offer that was accepted. The two countries agreed to expand cooperation in critical minerals, skill mobility, and people-to-people exchanges. These steps aim to build stronger economic and strategic links despite global uncertainties.
The discussions reflected India’s balanced approach to international conflicts while deepening its traditional friendship with Russia. Both nations committed to exploring new business avenues and joint ventures that can benefit citizens on both sides.
